Constant tissue temperature of 15 - 20°C during several hours of cold therapy.
Uninterrupted and even, thanks to the active cooling gel that conforms perfectly to the body's shape.
The interchangeable fabric cover provides enhanced comfort and gentle compression.
Universal cuff for use with knee, elbow, and ankle joints.
Before use, freeze the ice packs for at least 4 hours and have 2 liters of cold tap water (below 10°C / 50°F) ready.
Pour the cold water into the insulated cooling container, then add the ice packs.
The cuff can now be applied to the joint and the multi-hour cold therapy can begin.
The temperature profile of the cooling cuff was recorded over a period of three hours at an ambient temperature of 22°C, with measurements taken at one-minute intervals.
The cooling container was filled with six ice packs and cold tap water (approximately at refrigerator temperature). After an initial cooling phase, the temperature of the cuff stabilized at approximately 15–16°C and remained constant within this range throughout the remainder of the test period.
The actual cooling performance is not determined solely by how cold a cuff becomes; rather, the crucial factor is how effectively the cold is transferred to the body.
Many conventional cooling cuffs leave small air gaps between the cooling element and the skin, particularly around complex joint structures. These air pockets act as insulating layers, resulting in uneven temperature distribution and reduced cooling efficiency.
We recommend an application duration of 2 hours at a time. If necessary, the cooling can also be extended without any problems.
The system operates quietly, with a noise level below 50 dB during operation.
We recommend at least one application per day for about 2 hours. However, cooling can be used multiple times a day if needed.
Yes, that is easily possible. The cuff allows for sufficient freedom of movement during use.
